The traditional theatre festival boasts over 20 editions and is regularly attended by theatre groups from several countries, staging 200 performances that are held outdoors mostly.
For a few dozen years, the end of June in Hradec Králové has been closely associated with the celebration of theatre, body and all other senses, that is, the theatre festival.
During the last week of June, as part of the International Theatre Festival, in twenty different locations within Hradec Králové, there is around 220 performances performed on a regular, annual basis, by teams from all over Europe. The program composition is very diverse in terms of genres and there is something for everyone. There are art workshops, concerts, exhibitions, debates, talks and meetings with the legends of Czech theatre held as part of the festival.
