The Plebańska Zagroda is a kind of farm with complex of historic buildings which includes: a church, a presbytery, a vicar's house, farm buildings (a coach house, a barn) with a square, a fruit orchard with garden infrastructure and a chapel.
This place, fully accessible to the public, is a kind of museum presenting the unique values of sacred and historical architecture, as well as folk art and agricultural culture that was present in the Żywiec Region in the 16th century. The Plebańska Zagroda farmstead was not an ordinary open-air museum, the idea behind the creation of this place was also the protection of non-material culture, i.e. documenting manifestations of spiritual culture, rituals and rural religiosity. Hence the idea of an open "museum" in the open air, presenting the heritage of the village of Cięcina and the entire region of Żywiec. The Zagroda Plebańska is an ideal place to conduct thematic lectures, museum lessons, and trips during meetings with historic buildings. The farm is located on the route of the Shepherd's Trail, which gives the building an additional meaning, it is here that history and traditions have a common denominator with the beauty of the landscape of mountain pastures and glades, where sheep are still grazing, pastoral life and mountain pastures. The Plebańska Zagroda guarantees its visitors a lot of aesthetic and tourist experiences combined with sightseeing, hiking and contemplation of historical attractions.
