The museum of paper models was open in 2012 in Police nad Metují and has a collection of over 1200 models.
The museum is the only permanent exhibitor of paper models in the Czech Republic and presents the development of paper model-making, from the oldest, known paper cut-outs, through the oldest models, up to the latest trends and all kinds of variations. The museum presents the authors and model-makers not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Poland and Slovakia. The exhibition covers models inspired by a wide range of themes, from the oldest monuments, to the modern space technology, supplemented by innovative ideas of authors-artists on the technical future of the world.
