The Church of St. Joseph and St. Barbara was built of larch wood on a stone foundation in 1700-02 on the site of an earlier pilgrimage chapel.
The interior design of the church is Baroque, and on the vaults and walls one can admire ornate polychrome made during the construction of the church. In the presbytery, there is the main altar with an image of the Holy Family and St. Barbara. There are also four side altars decorated in the Baroque style.
Since 1946 the church has been administered by the Carmelite Friars; today it is used as a cemetery chapel. It is one of the most impressive wooden sacral buildings in Opole Silesia, being an example of the folk art and culture of this region. The building is accessible from the outside and is administered by the parish of St. Mary's Birth in Baborów.
