This magical château enchants visitors not only with its unique sgraffito decorations, but also with its exceptional interiors.
It is a true gem among renaissance monuments, not only in the Czech Republic. This is also why it was entered in the UNESCO list in 1999. There is also a château theatre, the second oldest in the Czech lands, and cellars with exhibitions of statues by Olbram Zoubek. The château is also the venue for the well-known Smetana’s Litomyšl festival which takes place every year.
