The Bouda Artillery Fortress consists of a complex of five pillboxes which was built at the highest level of impact resistance.
This was one of the significant pillars of the Czechoslovakia defensive fortification system, which was to provide covering fire for the infantry bunkers and blockhouses along with the Bouda and Adam fortresses.
The Prachovice area is famous as a rich limestone deposit which is still being extracted today.
