The ”Sunny Island” Recreation Centre is an innovative example of revitalization of post-industrial areas into a recreational, sports and service facility.
There is something for everyone, regardless of age. Most of the attractions, however, have been designed for children and teenagers. There is a spacious, modern playground for children with slides, swings, ladders and puzzle games; there are climbing walls, a skate park, chess tables and an outdoor gym. In the central part of the complex, there is a "tropical island" with artificial rocks, as well as a mini-waterfall, bridges, ropes and climbing nets, etc. There is also an amphitheatre used for concerts and community events. There are plenty of dining facilities and a spacious car park available for visitors. The entire complex is also disabled-friendly.
Admission to “Sunny Island” from May to the end of September is payable at weekends, while children under 16 can always enter free of charge!
