Summary of 2017

Implementation of the project entitled Cultural and Natural Heritage for the Development of the border region of Poland and the Czech Republic "Shared Heritage" was launched on 01.01.2017. As a result, in 2017, the first partner meetings were held and the first activities were implemented.

Below you shall find a brief summary of the events that took place in 2017:

 

First meeting of the Steering Committee

The first meeting of the Steering Committee was held on 17.05.2017 at the seat of the Beskidy Region Association in Bielsko-Biała. During the meeting, the major issues related to the future implementation of the project were discussed.

 

Second meeting of the Steering Committee

The second meeting of the Steering Committee was organised on 03-04.10.2017 at the Jelenia Struga MEDICAL SPA Hotel. During the meeting, one discussed current issues, the progress of individual project activities, effects and the current status of implementation, as well as issues related to the future implementation of the project.

 

First workshop on the Potential Study on the exploration of the border region of Poland and the Czech Republic.

On 08.11.2017 in Kliczków, first workshop on the Potential Study on the exploration of the border region of Poland and the Czech Republic was held. The objective of the meeting was to establish common, branded theme-based cultural and natural tourism routes. At the meeting, we sought to make an inventory of the existing facilities and buildings in order to use them for promotion purposes later on. This workshop was aimed at communicating with experts in the tourism industry from Lower Silesia region.

 

Second workshop on the Potential Study on the exploration of the border region of Poland and the Czech Republic.

The second workshop session was held in Pardubice on 13.11.2017. Together with experts from the Pardubice District, we strived to jointly identify and pinpoint the main attractions of the region.

 

Third workshop on the Potential Study on the exploration of the border region of Poland and the Czech Republic.

The third workshop session was held in Ostrava on 20-21.11.2017. First of all, the Moravian-Silesian Region was examined together with the experts representing this region; moreover, partners were elaborating on the tables from their respective regions.

 

Fourth workshop on the Potential Study on the exploration of the border region

of Poland and the Czech Republic.

The fourth workshop session was held in Racibórz on 28.11.2017. This was the last workshop session dedicated to the establishment of common, branded theme-based cultural and natural tourism routes, covering tourist attractions also from our region. At the meeting, we sought to make an inventory of the existing facilities and buildings in order to use them for promotion purposes later on. The meeting was attended by experts from Cieszyn Silesia, Silesian Tourist Organisation and Beskid. Also a representative of PTTK Racibórz Branch (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) and a representative of the Agency for Promotion of Racibórz Land and Support for Entrepreneurship at the Piast Castle in Racibórz took part in the meeting.
